Use these Would You Rather questions as getting to know you activities in the first week of school, quick brain breaks or for transitions!
How Can it be Used?
The idea of the game is that you ask your students a “Would you rather” question, and each person has to decide and justify their answer. You can run this many ways depending on your class size and reference. For example, you can have students raise their hands for each option, stand up or sit down, move round the room as a brain break, share answers with a partner, a group or the whole class.
The only rule is that students cannot answer neither; they have to choose an option!
They are also great for getting to know students, facilitating higher level thinking, developing flexibility, transitions, writing prompts, settling students before a lesson and when you have 5 minutes to spare.
Relief teachers, just store in your bag and you will always have a fall back option!
