About

Hi! I'm Kimberly, and I'm a teacher just like you.

my experience

I know firsthand the challenges (and joys!) of keeping high potential and gifted students engaged. With years of experience teaching across grades 1-6, Iโ€™ve seen how bright, curious minds thrive when given the right level of challenge. That passion led me to develop and teach a mathematics extension program for gifted and high potential students in K-6. I then ran a gifted and talented program in an inclusive school, with a strong focus on twice-exceptional students. Now, I work as a Primary Extension and Challenge Teacher and tutor, helping high ability learners reach their full potential.

Qualifications

I hold a Bachelor of Education and Iโ€™m also deepening my expertise by studying a Master of Education (Gifted Education). This is because Iโ€™m incredibly passionate about supporting gifted learners. I believe that every high potential student deserves to be challenged in meaningful, engaging ways.

about high potential education

Through High Potential Education, I create rigorous, engaging resources designed to stretch gifted and high potential students in any classroom. Whether youโ€™re looking for challenging puzzles, thought provoking prompts, or enrichment activities, my goal is to make differentiation easy and accessible, without adding to your workload.

I started this journey in 2020 by creating digital resources for teachers navigating online learning. Since then, my focus has grown into helping educators like you support high potential learners with materials that go beyond the basics. You can find my resources on Teachers Pay Teachers and right here on my website. I also plan to expand into printed puzzle books in the near future, so stay tuned!

outside of work

When Iโ€™m not working, youโ€™ll probably find me reading, swimming, listening to podcasts, or spending time at the beach with my twice-exceptional kiddo.

We share a love of swimming, the ocean, and Mexican food!

Gifted kids donโ€™t just need more work; they need the right work. Letโ€™s make sure they get it!
